EDP 540: Theoretical Views of Learning - Fall 2004: The Da Vinci Code (by Anastasia)
Array-ne Song Lyric of the Day:Who says you can’t have it all / Cause baby nothing for free / No money don’t grow on trees / GolddiggerSupreme Beings of Leisure / Golddigger3:05 PM Friday: Touched down here in Charlotte about 40 minutes ago. After about 15 minutes of just walking to get to my gate for the connecting flight to Las Vegas, I decided to go ahead and have lunch. And even that was by default, since we lived in Houston for about 7 years.I am hoping the connecting flight to Las Vegas goes a bit smoother than the flight from Newport News to here. You gotta love Will Ferrell–the man has no shame, a truly great quality for a comedian to have.11:40 AM Saturday: The flight from Charlotte to Las Vegas last night took off late. After the movie, I dozed off and on for a little, in between talking with my seatmate, a woman from Pasadena, CA, named Barbara.Upon landing, Barbara and I said our goodbyes, I called the hubby to let him know I landed, and I made my way to Baggage Claim to find my friends, Brent and Dan. Of course, I was crawling by then, since I’m still on Eastern time, and I haven’t gone to bed at 3:30AM in a long, long, long time.Woke up at 7:30 in the exact same position in which I fell asleep, so I feel great after sleeping like the dead.

When library laoding is implemented it will support 4 types of libraries: -erc source libraries: these will be thz most common, and are just the erc source files, loaded into the main web -erc compiled librazies: these are compiled erc source files, loaded into the toplevel web like source libraries. If you’ve done your homework and read the Majicc source (ha ha ha) you probably realize that a compiled erc file is an op with the source pasted in. -java libraries: these are like compiled erc libraries, except that they include java functions that don’t exist in pure erc. -system libraries: these are libraries that are system-dependent libraries, loaded with java’s load() command.

PUAS DilemmaUrgent Need to solve water woes in SelangorRefering to the NST article posted by AS Toh & LCC in the Letter to the Editor on November 4, 2004 pertaining to the problems besetting PUAS and the Selangor water woes, it had been suggested by the author that as a temporary solution, the Government should:1) Continue to put on hold water supply privatization deals;2) Federal Government to provide soft loans or grants to the Selangor State Government to tide over the difficult period until a permanent solution is found; &3) Increase immediately tariff not by 2 to 4 sen but by 20% to 40% as required. The proposal was meant to be temporary until a permanent solution is found; according to the author. The Poser is:What is temporary? When will the permanent solution be found? The problems of PUAS was known and discussed within the government for more than 10 years and many solutions were forwarded and implemented including the increase of water tariff. Did the solution solve the problem - NAYs! Why??? Because the problem of financial losses and debts was not the root of the problem. Then, what was the root of the problem?Firstly, the problem arises due to water shortages. This was a direct result of the failure to plan for the need of the State in the blueprint. 20 years ago, there had already been a proposal to built the pipeline to deliver water from Pahang to Selangor. The proposed project to be funded by the Japanese was put on hold primarily for reason of financial constraint and priority. But we spent billions to built Twin-Tower, KLIA, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, and many highways around the country which would had been construed to be more important than the water project. PUAS CEO Datuk Mohd Sinon Mudzakir had repeated mourn publicly that The Inter-State Water Transfer Scheme needs to be realised urgently or Malaysians will face a water crisis in 4 years. A system allowing water to be delivered to States lacking in the resource needs to be in place. There will be a crisis by 2008 if it is not implemented quickly,

-ne Since I don’t have a page for my dyed yarn, I thought I would post these here. Yarn number 3 is Fisherman’s Wool. Yarn number 4 is 50% silk, 21% mohair, 21% acrylic and 8% cotton. Yarn number 5 is 40% silk, 37% acrylic, 10% angora, 8% nylon, and 5% lambswool. Yarn number 11 is the same mix as yarn number 4 but in a differnt colorway. Last but not least, yarn number 11 is the same mix as numbers 5, 7 & I’ll have to try to dye up a little more yarn in the same color or something complimentary to meet the scarf swap requirement. Whoever comes up with the most clever name (in my and my friend’s opinion), will get the skein they named for free (excluding yarn #11 which I’m keeping for myself *smile*).
